Meet Our Team

At Frierson Farms, we believe knowing who grows your food (and makes your jams, soaps, and handmade goods!) makes everything feel a little more special. We're a family-run farm with deep West Texas roots and a passion for homemade, homegrown, and heartfelt products.
We're the Frierson family- generations strong and proud to work side by side. From tending goats and harvesting veggies to baking up sweet treats and crafting soaps, each of us brings something special to the table (and the market!)
We're not a big box. We're real people. When you buy from us, you're supporting:
- A small family farm

-Sustainable and thoughtful practices
-Products made with care, right here in East Texas
If you have any questions about ingredients, where your food comes from, or what market show we might be at next? Just ask! We're always happy to help, whether you're a first-time visitor or a longtime friend.
Everyone is always welcome at the farm.
- Gary and Nancy Frierson

GARY FRIERSON

Owner and Head Farmer

Gary is the owner and head farmer at Frierson Farms. He's been working the land since he just 9 years old, learning the ropes from his late grandfather, David Frierson of Haskell, Texas- a man who shaped his love for farming and his way of life. David wasn't just a farmer, - he was a teacher, a role model, and the man who passed down a way of life that Gary now carries forward every day. The lessons learned in those early mornings and long summer days stuck: respect the land, care for your animals and never take a single harvest for granted.
Through FFA and 4-H, Gary raised and showed animals all through high school, deepening his connection to agriculture and rural traditions. Today, that same passion fuels everything he does at Frierson Farms.
Together with his wife Nancy, and little girl Rowena June, he's turned Frierson Farms into more than a business. It's a family legacy, a labor of love, and a life worth living.
Farming isn't just his work- It's his heart.

NANCY SUE FRIERSON

Owner and CMO

Nancy is the heart of Frierson Farms.
She may have grown up in Michigan, but her soul was always Southern. She made it to Texas as soon as she could- and in 2016, she married Gary and began writing a new chapter: one of faith, dirt roads, and dreams planted deep.
Together, they've farmed across the U.S. and even in the Caribbean, but it's here on this land that Nancy truly found her purpose. In July 2023, they welcomed their daughter, Rowena June, whose tiny hands and big spirit inspired not just a children's boutique, but a whole new level of love and creativity on the farm.

Nancy is the magic behind the scenes, the one stirring jam pots all hours of the day, tying bows by hand, blending soaps with care, capturing the everyday beauty of farm life through her words and photos. If it's delicious, if it's beautiful, if it feels like home- it likely came from Nancy's hands.
She's the storyteller, the maker, the mama and the memory keeper. She's not just the heart of the kitchen- she's the heart of it all.

Shelbi is the creative soul behind Rowena June Clothing and Bow Co., a boutique that blends handmade charm with thoughtful design.
She travels across the country in search of unique, high-quality fabrics to bring her blanket designs to life. She selects fabrics you won't find just anywhere- unique prints and colors that feel like childhood and comfort all in one. Every piece is thoughtfully created- from concept to final stitch- by Shelbi herself. She also searches many boutique suppliers for the best possible clothing to bring to your little ones.
Shelbi doesn't just design- she does it all. From sourcing to sewing, sales and booth set ups, she's involved in every step of the process.
When she's not behind the machine sewing or sourcing, She's busy balancing life with her husband Roddy, their two kids, and their growing crane business. Shelbi brings beauty, vision, and a whole lot of heart to everything she touches. She's proof that grit, grace, and great style can go hand in hand.
